How to use
The sattu premix is already in the bottle — nothing to measure or spoon in. Just top it up with about 200 ml of water or buttermilk, cold or warm to suit the weather, cap it, shake for 30 seconds, and drink. Water keeps it light and cooling; buttermilk makes it creamier and more filling.
Best enjoyed
Through a hot afternoon, after a workout, alongside a heavy meal, or late at night once the kitchen has shut.
Who it's for
Pre-teens and teens, students, and busy adults who want a tangy, digestive-friendly refuel.

Roasted gram flour
Slow-roasted Bengal gram, stone-milled. The protein and fibre base of every bottle.
White salt
Balances the blend and replaces a little of what you lose through sweat.
Black salt
Kala namak, the source of that distinctive savoury tang.
Dried mango
Amchur. Sun-dried raw mango for a sharp, fruity sourness.
Dried mint
Pudina, for a cooling finish. Best over ice.
Roasted cumin
Bhuna jeera. Warm and earthy, long used to settle digestion.
Red chilli
Mild warmth that lingers just behind the tang.
Black pepper
Ground fine for bite, and it helps the body absorb the rest.
Dried ginger
Sonth. Warming, and traditionally used to aid digestion.
Asafoetida
Hing. A pinch for savoury depth, and easier digestion.
Lemon
Dried lemon, for brightness and a touch of vitamin C.

What it does

What sattu does for you

Roasted gram sattu has been a working person's drink in Bihar and eastern UP for generations. Here is what it is actually doing, in the hour after you drink it and over months of drinking it.

In the next few hours

  • Steady energy, no crash

Slow-release carbohydrate with 9 g of protein alongside it, so the lift holds for about four hours instead of spiking and dropping.

  • Full for hours

7 g of fibre and protein together blunt hunger - which is what stops the four o'clock biscuit run and the midnight fridge raid.

  • Cooling and hydrating

The water flavours are a traditional summer cooler, and the black salt in them puts back some of what heat and sweat take out.

Over weeks and months

  • Everyday protein for growing bodies

Roasted gram is a solid plant protein - useful for pre-teens and teens who are still building, and for adults who rarely hit their protein by lunch.

  • Gentler on blood sugar

High fibre and a low glycaemic load make for a flatter curve than a sugary breakfast drink or a packet of biscuits.

  • Fibre, iron and magnesium

Gram sattu carries iron, magnesium and B vitamins, and the fibre supports regular digestion. The jaljira and jeera spices are traditional digestives in their own right.

Dayfuel is a food, not a medicine. These are the general nutritional properties of roasted-gram sattu and a balanced diet, not claims to prevent or treat any condition.
